Future Scholars Daycare COVID-19 Policy
This policy has been created using a combination of guidelines and recommendations from the CDC, the Marion County Health Department, and the Indiana Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning. All parents are expected to monitor their child’s health, and to keep them home if they display any symptoms of sickness.

General Sick Policy
Any child who has a fever (100.4 or higher), has diarrhea, or is vomiting may not come to daycare. If one of these events occur at daycare, you will be contacted to pick your child up immediately. The child must be symptom free without the aid of medication for a full 72 hours before they may return to daycare.
COVID-19 Policy
If someone in the child’s household (even a part-time member) has been exposed to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, the household should quarantine, and the child may not come to daycare for a minimum of 10 days. After the 10 day quarantine, if no one in the household has experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, AND the exposed person has tested negative (with a minimum of 5 days passing between exposure and testing), the child may return to daycare on day 11. If the exposed person is not tested, the child may not come to daycare for a minimum of 14 days. If no one in the household has experienced and COVID-19 symptoms, the child may return to daycare on day 15.
If the child has been exposed to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, the household should quarantine, and the child may not come to daycare for a minimum of 14 days. After, the 14-day quarantine, if no one in the household has experienced and COVID-19 symptoms, the child may return to daycare on day 15.
If someone in the child’s household (even a part-time member) tests positive for COVID-19, the household should quarantine, and the child may not come to daycare for a minimum of 14 days. They may return on day 15 if no other household members haver experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, AND the positive household member has been symptom free without the aid of medication for 72 hours.
If the child tests positive for COVID-19 Future Scholars Daycare is required by the Marion County Health Department to close for a minimum of 14 days. All households associated with Future Scholars Daycare should quarantine for those 14 days.
Please note that should any of the above scenarios occur, it is your responsibility to notify Future Scholars Daycare immediately so the appropriate actions can be discussed and taken.
Please note that should any of the above scenarios occur, payment will still be required, and card swipes will need to be done for the child to return after quarantine.
